HELP US MEMORIALIZE THE LIFE OF PHOENIX, A MUCH LOVED NORWEGIAN FOREST CAT

When Jackie and her family adopted Phoenix 15 years ago,  they were told he was a a Maine Coon.   Last week they found our he was a Norwegian Forest Cat.   they are certainly a beautiful breed.    Unfortunately last week, Phoenix lost his battle with “old age” and joined his ancestors in walking the Rainbow Bridge.   We are posting the dialogue written by Judy herself, before she brought Phoenix for his final ride to his vet.   What follows is Phoenix’s life story told by his Pet Mommy.

“In August of 2005 my now humans were on vacation and came into a Pet Store I was in.  I wasn’t a kitten, My friends and I were being adopted out that day.  My humans thought i was 1 or 2 years old when they saw me.   They asked about ME. They noticed my amazing tail.    They were told that I was adopted out but brought back by the family.   I Have been here ever since.  I thought that I was finally going to leave this cage but they left me there.   Later that day they came back in and said yes, we will take him.  I was put in a Carrier and wisked away!   I was taken to a vet to get a checkup and be tested for kitty diseases because I am told I have “others” to meet.   I was off to my forever home,  where I stayed until it was time to go!    My favorite thing to do is lay around except when I exercise.     For exercise I  CHASE the Dog.  Its funny –  he is afraid of me!   Haha “
